Reducing the mass of the wheels means not only reducing the total mass of the car, but more importantly reducing the unsprung mass.
The less unsprung mass, the better the tires' ability to stay in contact with the road surface.

No. When a wheel is described as “perfect for Audi,” it does not mean that it is compatible exclusively with Audi cars. In this case, the statement refers to compatibility with original Audi hubcaps, referred to as “OE Cap Compatible.”

This allows the original center caps to be used while maintaining an OEM look, i.e., identical to the original aesthetics of the automaker.

“OE Cap Compatible” indicates that the wheel is designed to accommodate the automaker’s original hub caps. For example, an OE Cap Compatible wheel for BMW allows you to directly fit original BMW center caps without adapters or modifications.

This detail does not automatically determine the compatibility of the wheel with all models of the brand. Before mounting, it is always necessary to check all the technical specifications provided for the vehicle.

The channel width represents the inside width of the wheel at the point where the tire is mounted. It is expressed in inches with values such as 8J, 8.5J or 9J.

In the 8.5J value, the number indicates the channel width while the letter identifies the wheel edge profile. This measurement affects tire compatibility and final fitment aesthetics. Each tire can only be installed within a certain range of recommended widths.

ET, also called Offset, indicates the distance between the geometric center of the wheel and the bearing surface on the vehicle’s hub. It is expressed in millimeters with values such as ET35 or ET45.

A higher ET brings the wheel more toward the inside of the wheel well, while a lower ET moves the wheel more toward the outside. This parameter affects the aesthetics and the space available for the vehicle’s brakes and suspension.

PCD, which stands for “Pitch Circle Diameter,” indicates the diameter of the imaginary circle passing through the center of the wheel mounting holes. It is expressed by formulas such as 5×112 or 4×100.

In the value 5×112, the first number represents the number of mounting holes while the second number indicates the (imaginary) rim diameter expressed in millimeters. The PCD must exactly match that provided by the vehicle to ensure proper and safe mounting.

TheCenter Bore isthe center hole in the wheel that fits on the hub of the vehicle. Its size is expressed in millimeters, such as 66.5 mm or 72.6 mm.

A correct center bore ensures perfect centering of the wheel on the hub, helping to reduce vibration and ensuring accurate mounting. If the center bore of the wheel is larger than the hub of the vehicle, specific centering rings can be used. If it is smaller, however, the wheel cannot be installed.
